Shelly Linderman with the Wiregrass Angel House contacted Webbering in February 2009 to assume maintenance and hosting of their website, VocalOnline.org. Shelly was happy with the design of the site and wanted to keep it in the same style. However, the site was completely hard-coded so that continuing maintenance was going to be very time-consuming. Also, the website was being hosted at a site where it had no control panel. We recommended that the site be moved to our hosting server where each and every website has it's own control panel. While the transfer was being initiated, we setup a Joomla development site, found a compatible template and made modifications to closely resemble the original design. We modified the navigation bar and content in a more logical layout. Working with Shelly, we made modifications as per Shellys' requests until the development site was approved for going live. During the development process, the original site was still fully accessible until the switch was made to the new site. There was no downtime at all.
